Current Situation
Pakistan is facing another devastating monsoon season, with Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan among the hardest-hit. Heavy rains on August 14–15 triggered flash floods and landslides in Muzaffarabad, Bagh, and Neelum, leaving deaths, missing persons, and severe damage to roads and vehicles. In Gilgit-Baltistan, swollen rivers swept away homes, farmland, and parts of the Karakoram Highway, cutting off remote areas. Since June 26, 2025, floods have claimed 628 lives, injured 768, and damaged nearly 1,900 houses nationwide. Entire villages lie submerged, families are displaced, and critical infrastructure is in ruins. With climate change intensifying these disasters, millions remain at risk. Urgent relief and donor support are critical to saving lives and rebuilding communities.
What Flood Affected Families Need Most
Families affected by the floods are in desperate need of urgent relief to survive these difficult days. They require shelter tents and tarpaulin sheets to protect themselves from the rain, mosquito nets to stay safe from dengue and malaria, and blankets to shield children and the elderly from the cold. Alongside shelter, food remains a critical need both essential food packages for longer-term sustenance and cooked food (daig) for immediate hunger relief. Your support in providing these lifesaving supplies will help thousands of families rebuild hope in the face of disaster.
